To Build Ecosystem Bali Creative Industries / Creative Industry Center

The creative industry is an important pillar in building the national economy, because it can create human resource competitiveness in the era of globalization, as well as the welfare of Indonesian society. This was conveyed by Minister of Industry Saleh Husin in his speech at the opening of the International Conference Creative Industry (ICCI) in 2015 in Denpasar, Bali, on Tuesday (11/8).

On the occasion, Minister of Industry gave an appreciation for the organization ICCI 2015 on August 11-12 2015 in Bali, which is expected to be a forum for communication among government agencies, academia, and the creative industries. The event was attended by Head of the Creative Economy, Triawan Munaf will be filled with presentations from several keynote speakers abroad with different topics, among others, about fashion, craft, visual communication design, product design, interior, architecture, arts and culture, education, arts and design, as well as marketing communications and creative business.

Development of the creative economy in 2013 showed a positive picture, in which the sector grew by 5.76% or above the average national growth rate of 5.74%, with the added value of Rp 641.8 trillion or 7% of the national GDP. In terms of employment, the sector is able to absorb the 11.8 million people or 10.7% of the national labor force, followed by the number of business units reached 5.4 million units, or 9.7% of total business units. Activity was good exports, which reached Rp 118 trillion or 5.7% of total national exports.

Of the 15 sub-sectors of the creative economy is developed, there are three sub-sectors which provide the dominant contribution to GDP, namely a culinary subsector (Rp 209 trillion, or 32.5%), fashion (Rp182 trillion, or 28.3%) and craft (Rp93 trillion or 14 , 4%). A deeper look at the export performance of the fashion industry and handicrafts, fashion industry exports reached Rp 76.7 trillion, an increase of 8% compared to 2012. In line with fashion, the craft industry too there is an increase in export performance which reached Rp 21.7 trillion, an increase of 7 , 6% compared to the previous year.

Meanwhile, to the content industry, in particular subsector interactive games as well as computer services and software, although its contribution to GDP is still small, but the industry has great potential for growth, which is characterized by high growth in value added generated by the average over 10% per year during the period 2010-2013. Even gait content industry stakeholders Indonesia is increasingly gained recognition in the international community with the inclusion of some national applications in Asia's Top Fifty Applications.

In developing the national creative industry, one of the strategic steps that have been conducted by the Ministry of Industry was founded Bali Creative Industry Center (BCIC) in Denpasar, Bali. "BCIC can be a solution to the problems that are often faced by industry, particularly small and medium industries, such as raw material shortages, lack of research and technology, promotion and marketing difficulties, until the risk of theft of design," said Minister of Industry.

As a Center of Excellence national creative industry, BCIC has been equipped with the infrastructure and facilities to build the creative industries. "As the 'house' a creative person, I'm sure BCIC will give birth to innovative ideas, new creator-creator, so terciptalahsuatu high-quality products that would have a sale value and are able to compete in the era of free trade," said Minister of Industry.

Generally BCIC has five main roles, namely as the Center for Innovation and Intellectual Property, Center for Education and Training, Promotion and Marketing Center, Center for Development of Industrial Software and Content, as well as the Business Incubation Center. "The year 2015 is the beginning of a program of activities BCIC. Activities that have been done quite diverse, including branding, training and creativepreneurship national scope, creative business incubator, design competitions, clinics prototype design and manufacture, as well as product development workshop and title work, "said Minister of Industry. To that end, the theme of awareness is used as a form of introduction to the general public to enable the understanding and the knowledge of the BCIC.

Membangun Ekosistem Industri Kreatif di Bali Creative Industry Center

Industri kreatif merupakan salah satu pilar penting dalam membangun ekonomi nasional, karena mampu menciptakan sumber daya manusia yang berdaya saing di era globalisasi, sekaligus juga menyejahterakan masyarakat Indonesia. Demikian disampaikan Menteri Perindustrian Saleh Husin dalam sambutannya pada acara Pembukaan International Conference Creative Industry (ICCI) 2015 di Denpasar, Bali, Selasa (11/8).

Pada kesempatan tersebut, Menperin memberikan apresiasi atas penyelenggaraan ICCI 2015 pada 11-12 Agustus 2015 di Bali, yang diharapkan menjadi wadah komunikasi yang bermanfaat antara pemerintah, akademisi, dan pelaku industri kreatif. Acara yang dihadiri Kepala Badan Ekonomi Kreatif, Triawan Munaf ini akan diisi dengan presentasi dari beberapa keynote speaker mancanegara dengan topik yang berbeda, antara lain tentang fesyen, kriya, desain komunikasi visual, desain produk, interior, arsitektur, seni dan budaya, pendidikan seni dan desain, serta marketing komunikasi dan bisnis kreatif.

Perkembangan ekonomi kreatif pada tahun 2013 menunjukkan gambaran yang positif, dimana sektor ini tumbuh 5,76% atau di atas rata-rata pertumbuhan ekonomi nasional sebesar 5,74%, dengan nilai tambah sebesar Rp 641,8 triliun atau 7% dari PDB nasional. Dari sisi tenaga kerja, sektor ini mampu menyerap 11,8 juta orang atau 10,7% dari angkatan kerja nasional, diikuti dengan jumlah unit usaha mencapai angka 5,4 juta unit atau 9,7% dari total unit usaha. Aktivitas ekspornya pun baik, yakni mencapai Rp 118 triliun atau 5,7% dari total ekspor nasional.

Dari 15 subsektor ekonomi kreatif yang dikembangkan, terdapat tiga subsektor yang memberikan kontribusi dominan terhadap PDB, yaitu subsektor kuliner (Rp 209 triliun atau 32,5%), fesyen (Rp182 triliun atau 28,3%), dan kerajinan (Rp93 triliun atau 14,4 %). Melihat lebih dalam pada kinerja ekspor industri fesyen dan kerajinan, ekspor industri fesyen mencapai Rp 76,7 triliun atau meningkat 8% dibandingkan tahun 2012. Sejalan dengan fesyen, pada industri kerajinan pun terdapat peningkatan kinerja ekspor yakni mencapai Rp 21,7 triliun atau meningkat 7,6% dibandingkan tahun sebelumnya.

Sementara itu, untuk industri konten, khususnya subsektor permainan interaktif serta layanan komputer dan piranti lunak, meskipun kontribusinya terhadap PDB masih kecil, tetapi industri ini memiliki potensi yang besar untuk berkembang, yang ditandai dengan tingginya pertumbuhan nilai tambah yang dihasilkan dengan rata-rata di atas 10% per tahun selama periode 2010–2013. Bahkan kiprah para pelaku industri konten Indonesia sudah semakin mendapat pengakuan di dunia internasional dengan masuknya beberapa aplikasi nasional dalam Asia’s Top Fifty Applications.

Dalam upaya pengembangan industri kreatif nasional, salah satu langkah strategis yang telah dilakukan Kementerian Perindustrian adalah mendirikan Bali Creative Industry Center (BCIC) di Denpasar, Bali. “BCIC dapat menjadi solusi atas masalah yang kerap dihadapi pelaku industri, khususnya industri kecil dan menengah, seperti keterbatasan bahan baku, minimnya riset dan teknologi, kesulitan promosi dan pemasaran, hingga risiko pencurian desain,” kata Menperin.

Sebagai Center of Excellence industri kreatif nasional, BCIC telah dilengkapi dengan prasarana dan sarana untuk membangun industri kreatif. “Sebagai ‘rumahnya’ orang kreatif, saya yakin BCIC akan melahirkan ide-ide inovatif, kreator-kreator baru, sehingga terciptalahsuatu produk berkualitas tinggi yang tentunya memiliki nilai jual dan mampu bersaing menghadapi era perdagangan bebas,” tegas Menperin.

Secara umum BCIC mempunyai lima peran utama, yaitu sebagai Pusat Inovasi dan Kekayaan Intelektual, Pusat Pendidikan dan Pelatihan, Pusat Promosi dan Pemasaran, Pusat Pengembangan Industri Software dan Konten, serta Pusat Inkubasi Bisnis. “Tahun 2015 merupakan awal program kegiatan BCIC. Kegiatan yang telah dilakukan cukup beragam, antara lain branding, pelatihan dan creativepreneurship lingkup nasional, inkubator bisnis kreatif, kompetisi desain, klinik desain dan pembuatan purwarupa, serta workshop pengembangan produk dan gelar karya,” sebut Menperin. Untuk itu, tema awareness digunakan sebagai bentuk pengenalan kepada masyarakat umum agar terjadi pengertian dan pemahaman tentang BCIC.
